Personal Data Collection

KVPNSmart collects Personal Data from you when you create or update your Account. This data is necessary for us to provide you with our Services, communicate with you, process payments, prevent fraud, and address any support queries you may have. The specific Personal Data we collect may vary depending on the payment method you choose, but it can include information such as your name, billing country, billing address, and credit card number. Third-party service providers, agents, and contractors working with KVPNSmart ("Service Providers") may have limited access to relevant data to help us process payments, manage the Services, and support our business operations. These Service Providers are bound by confidentiality and data processing agreements to keep your data secure and to use it solely for the purposes of providing the services they are engaged to perform for KVPNSmart. These agreements include commitments to protect data as required by relevant laws. Service Providers are granted access only to the data necessary for the services they provide on behalf of KVPNSmart, which will never include monitoring or collecting VPN usage or connection data, as we do not store such information. Additionally, we may share your Personal Data when you have given us consent to do so, such as for marketing purposes or to access optional services or features.

Keys Data Protection

If you opt to use KVPNSmart Keys, our password and secure data management service accessible through your Account, we will collect and securely store your Keys Data. This data is encrypted with zero-knowledge encryption, ensuring that neither KVPNSmart staff nor Service Providers can access or retrieve your stored information, even with your authorization. Your Keys Data belongs to you, and you have full control over it. You can add, modify, and delete Keys Data at any time by accessing your KVPNSmart Keys dashboard. For added security, we recommend creating a strong, unique primary password for KVPNSmart Keys that differs from the password used to access your Account.

Usage Statistics and App Diagnostic Data

To ensure we provide top-notch customer support and service quality, KVPNSmart collects specific information related to your VPN usage as detailed below. This data is only accessible to our staff on a strict need-to-know basis and may be shared with Service Providers for the outlined purposes, but it is always kept confidential. We are committed to never logging sensitive information such as browsing history, traffic destinations, data content, IP addresses, or DNS queries. Our approach to minimal data collection for VPN Usage Statistics ensures that:
- We do not know which user accessed a particular website or service.
- We do not know which user was connected to the VPN at a specific time or which VPN server IP addresses were used.
- We do not know the original IP addresses of any user's device. Even if KVPNSmart were to be compelled to release user information, we would be unable to provide it, as this data simply does not exist.

App Versions

KVPNSmart gathers information about which Apps and their specific versions you have activated to use our Services. This helps our Support Team to troubleshoot any technical issues you might experience by knowing the exact version of the App you are using.

Successful Connections

When you use the App, KVPNSmart collects information about whether you have successfully connected to the VPN on a given day (without logging the specific time), the VPN location you connected to (excluding your assigned outgoing IP address), and your country/ISP (excluding your source IP address). This minimal data helps us provide technical support, identify connection issues, offer country-specific usage advice, and enable our engineers to detect and resolve network problems.

Total Data Transferred (in MB)

KVPNSmart collects information on the total amount of data transferred by a user. While we offer unlimited data transfer, if we detect that a single user is transferring significantly more data than others and potentially impacting the quality of service for other users, we may reach out to that user for clarification.

Summary of Usage Statistics Data

To ensure high-quality service, KVPNSmart collects minimal usage statistics. For instance, we might know that a customer named John connected to our New York VPN location on a Tuesday and transferred a total of 823 MB of data over 24 hours. However, John cannot be uniquely identified based on this data since many other users connected to the same location on the same day. Our system is designed to avoid storing any sensitive data. While we can determine THAT a user has utilized KVPNSmart, we cannot identify the individual user or understand HOW they have used our service. We are committed to maintaining user privacy by not collecting or retaining any information about users' online activities.

Email, Live Chat, and Feedback Forms Data Protection

At KVPNSmart, we maintain records of all communications, inquiries, feedback, and support interactions you initiate through our Site or Services, including our responses. Depending on your method of contact, we may collect your email address and any additional details you provide. These records are crucial for ensuring effective customer support.
